How this works

Some links on Plainpurse may, in future, be affiliate links. If you click one and go on to take a qualifying action, such as opening an account or taking out a product, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.

What this never does

An affiliate relationship never determines what we write, which products we mention, or how we describe them. Most links on this site are simply to official, non-commercial sources such as gov.uk, HMRC, MoneyHelper or the FCA, and are not affiliate links at all.

How you’ll know

Wherever a link is an affiliate link, we’ll label it clearly in the text near the link, in line with UK advertising standards on affiliate marketing disclosure.

Advertising

Separately from affiliate links, this site shows display adverts through Google AdSense. These are placed automatically by Google’s ad system rather than chosen individually by us.
